My Very 1st Blog Post!!

This is my very first blog! I'm very excited to be able to share my passion for fashion via world wide web. This blog will consist of my personal style, views on trends, whats happening on the runway, celebrity fashion and yes .. cupcakes! So let's start this off with a bang!

Since today is the last day of 2012 I decided to round up my best dressed of 2012. I hope everyone have a fabulous, safe night out and Happy New Year!

Solange
Solange's style continues to evolve. It's always something different. She's young, fresh and seems to really be embracing who she is and I love it! Now a model with Next Model Management I'm sure we are sure too see Solange in more editorials come 2013.

Jenna Lyons
Jenna joined J. Crew in 1990 as an Assistant Designer and worked her way up to her current title of President & Creative Director for J.Crew, need I say more?! Her style is fun, eclectic and simple! She definitely dresses the part of a J. Crew President. You can always catch her in something tailored.

Kerry Washington
She very classic. She is known to rock the hell out of a midi-length skirt or dress. Her style has definitely transformed over the years and I love her character on Scandal. She is always very elegant and fresh.

Olivia Palermo
Olivia Palermo never ceases to amaze us with her impeccable sense of style. She loves mixing prints, patterns, colors, textures, etc. You name it and she will mix it together somehow and come out with something awesome!

Gwyneth Paltrow
So she's Beyonce and Jay-Z's best friend is there anything more to say? I really love that she is an advocate for children and serves as an artist ambassador for Save the Children. Her style on the red carpet can be very sexy, but I love it. Can't wait to see what else she brings in the new year.

Michele Obama
It's no wonder Vanity Fair has listed her as "10 of the World's Best Dressed People," she's also appeared on People's Magazine list of best-dressed women.  She is not afraid of color, prints, patterns and embraces her curves. The First Lady is definitely a style icon in my book.

Rihanna
She's hot, she's 24, just completed her 7th album, she's a risk taker and could care two-middle fingers what anyone thinks. Her style is forever evolving. Short hair, long hair, red hair, blonde hair, Jordan's or Jimmy Choo's, Rihanna rocks it all and no matter what it is from couture to pajamas she seems to wear it well. I cant wait to see  her new fashion reality show on the Styled Network. I look forward to what new trends she gonna set in 2013.

TRENDING: Short Suits

I've been seeing short suits everywhere, from the runways to the red carpet. This Spring you can expect to see them in bold patterns, colors and designs. With that being said, you are sure to see a lot more legs coming out, hopefully everyone prepared by hitting the gym in the winter months, lol! I'm so on board with short suit trend. Instead of going out and buying a pricey short suit I plan on mixing and matching some blazers and shorts that are already in the my closet. On another note, I'm so looking forward to the Prabal Gurung for Target Collection in February. I am eyeing the floral printed blazer, tee and shorts, as seen the the last picture below. Hopefully I will make it to Target before it's sold out. What do you guys thing about the short suit trend, will you be on board this Spring? Stay Fashionable!

J.W. Anderson A/W 2013 @ London Fashion Week

J.W. Anderson is known for his androgynous collections, so it should be no shock that the men were coming down the runway in mini skirts @ his London Fashion Week A/W 2013 show. The pieces were tailored to perfection with ruffled hemmed skits, short shirts, sleek side parted hair and pin stripped peplum pants? I'm not sure if that's the correct term for them, but when I first saw them that's the the first word that came to mind. I am really loving the ruffled hemmed boots though! Johnathan Williams Anderson (J.W. Anderson) studied at the London College of Fashion . J.W. Anderson the Collection was launched in 2008 with a Menswear Collection. This was later followed by a Women's Collection in 2010 which received raved reviews. Alexa Chung is a big fan of the designer. While I'd only want my man to wear the tailored pants I still love his collection. He is not afraid to explore the the relationship between boy and girl and it a mean tailorist (is that a word
