Shala Monroque has this classic style with a twist. At times a piece of me has a piece of her style. I am a high heel wearing woman, but there are days when I just want to put on my cute little kitten heels or flat ballet slip-ons with a pleated knee legnth skirt and and a buttoned up blouse and when I do that's when I feel I am channeling my inner Shala. Shala is such a natural when it comes to fashion. She can rock any on trend look and nail it while being fabulous. Her style never looks forced, always effortlessly chic. It's no suprise in 2011 New York Magazine named her "muse of a generation". She's never afraid to take risk and have fun with fashion an that's why she is my style spotlight.

Shay Mitchell looked absolutely gorgeous in this Clover Canyon Geometric Owl Neoprene Top and matching skirt as she attended the Much Music Video Awards in Toronto, Canada. Rooney Mara looks adorable in J.W. Anderson at the L.A. Film Festival screening. Everything is right on. Her almost bare face, cropped top and ruffles, I absolutely love it! I loved the dress Beyonce rocked to the 40/40 Club 10th Anniversary party. It was a Roberto Cavalli Spring 2013 White Knit Cut Out dress. You likey? Emily B posted a pic on Instagram this week in some made to order Tony Bianco lace-up thigh high booties or gladiator sandals (whatever your preference) but these things were super bad. I’m not the biggest fan up thigh high shoes, they can come off a little more slutty than what I chose to revel … hehe! But these shoes are so cute. They first debut at Alex Perry’s Spring 2013 runway show. I didn’t see them then but I’m loving them now. I’m not willing to spend anything over $200.00 for a pair of shoes, but these are super cute and I can totally envision them with some distressed, ripped up 501 cut-off shorts and simple white tee and a serious statement necklace ….. oh and a red lip … oh and cute little clutch, preferable black and white checkered.
